Our Process

JCK Resources is a community-based 501(c)3 nonprofit that empowers adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to become integrated members of their community. A focus on self-advocacy and independence provides a firm foundation for life beyond school.

Social Integration

Use skills and information gained from various JCK activities to develop and maintain friendships; develop new interests.

Community Access

Plan and implement activities with an emphasis on destination, travel arrangements, scheduling and bugeting.

This level of activity is comparable to learning to read: just as reading requires building foundational skills, like connecting letters with sounds, success here depends on developing and combining essential planning skills.

Although these outings are fun, it is the highest level activity that we offer.
